Professional experience

Dirk is a recognised expert and leader, alongside Philipp Mächler in the field of commercial law. Dirk Hartmann is the primary point of contact for private clients, family owned businesses and asset managers particularly in matters that are cross-border related. He is also a competent contact when it comes to advising on related aspects of corporate, financial, and capital market law. In addition, he provides support for clients on matters relating to relocation, estate planning, and company foundation, implementation of capital measures, M&A transactions and questions on structuring, inheritance and tax. In addition to his legal work, Dirk Hartmann serves on the governing board of numerous businesses, as well as on the board of a non-profit organisation. He is also a member of the study commission of the postgraduate course on international commercial law at the University of Zurich.
